Please introduce yourself and tell us about a typical workday for you.
I am Hao Phan, a Sales Manager in the retail department of Aeon Group.
My workday typically starts with checking the previous day’s sales results and going through emails if there are any pending. Then, I proceed to physically inspect the store’s equipment, staff presence, and display.
Next, I engage in meetings with various departments within the company or planned meetings with superiors or subordinates. By midday, I hold briefings with my lower-level departments to update on work progress. Towards the end of the day, I review the day’s progress and provide further guidance to the lower-level departments.
How has the MBA program changed you?
I’ve learned not only from instructors but also from my classmates. Most of my classmates are quite young, energetic, and I’ve learned a lot from them.
They work in various fields—consulting, IT, marketing—from different companies, which has been a great source of learning for me.
What was the most significant aspect that made a difference for you in joining the program?
What I appreciate in this program is the faculty team, the infrastructure, and the monthly activities like the MBA Talk seminars and other events.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
The professors are fantastic; they are very supportive of students and always available for clearing doubts through phone or email.
Do you have any advice for students preparing to enroll in an MBA?
Pursuing an MBA program is a significant decision that requires thoughtful consideration because it’s not easy. You need to sacrifice time not just in class but also for self-study, so ensure you have enough time to commit and overcome the challenges.”
