Please introduce yourself and tell us about a typical workday for you.
I am Ngọc Thi, currently working as a Channel Analytics Development Manager at Heineken Vietnam. My daily work revolves extensively around creating plans and strategizing.
How has the MBA program changed you?
I could apply the knowledge gained from every subject directly into practical use. As I didn’t originally graduate in Marketing, the knowledge I acquired was not systematically organized as I was learning on the job.
However, during the MBA, the knowledge was structured within a specific framework, enabling me to think and work much more logically.
Especially, the Human Resources module greatly assisted me in effectively managing my team. It wasn’t just about pushing them to complete tasks; it was also about motivating and inspiring them as a leader.
What was the most significant aspect that made a difference for you in joining the program?
The MBA program boasts an incredibly dedicated and talented faculty team. All teachers are academic experts and professional business leaders. The knowledge they impart is always focused on practicality, allowing us to stay updated with the latest information. This is why I cherish the program.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
I was greatly impressed by Mr. Phong Bui, who taught Human Resources for non-managers. He is incredibly inspiring to his students, not only teaching but also instilling inspiration into our lives, both in the short and long term.
Additionally, given my job’s involvement in strategy and planning, studying PSO MBA helped me build a strong foundation to understand why things happen, how to respond to competitive adversaries, and how to take the next steps ahead of market shifts.
Do you have any advice for students preparing to enroll in an MBA?
Based on my experience, don’t pursue an MBA just for the sake of having a degree. Try to absorb all experiences and knowledge from the experts, as they are truly outstanding. Don’t just passively receive knowledge; actively learn as much as possible.
Also, try to expand your network with as many classmates as possible because they are incredibly talented. You’ll learn not only from teachers but also from your peers!
