Please introduce yourself and tell us about a typical workday for you.
I’m Quynh Nguyen, currently working as a Tax Consultant at Mazars Vietnam. Due to the nature of my work relating to taxes, I need to keep updated on new regulations and laws from the government daily.
How has the MBA program changed you?
For me, the most significant achievement so far has been learning a lot from my classmates, as they have more experience than me, allowing me to learn from their perspectives and experiences.
From the instructors, I’ve gained knowledge and practical situations applicable to real life.
What was the most significant aspect that made a difference for you in joining the program?
I believe that the MBA provided me with a broader perspective of the entire organization beyond what I learned in my Bachelor’s degree.
For instance, I have a client in the Marketing field, and their activities and business revolve around Marketing. So, in executing my tasks, I could apply what I learned in the Marketing course and understand more about the client’s workflow.
What did you enjoy most about the program?
I think all the instructors are genuinely passionate; they exhibit enthusiasm in their learning and teaching. They provide us with a lot of valuable information beyond textbook theory, mostly presenting real-life examples and situations.
Do you have any advice for students preparing to enroll in an MBA?
In my opinion, if you have around 3 years of experience and are considering an MBA, just give it a try. This program also allows for some leeway if you find it challenging.
So, my advice is to try it, and if you can’t commit to it, seek other options. However, the MBA is truly interesting, especially this program named PSO – Problem Solving. Therefore, investigate it, and you’ll learn about the issue and how to solve it.
The special thing about this program is that we learn how to solve it. So, it’s genuinely beneficial not just in your professional but also in your personal life; you’ll be able to solve your own problems.
